Jeep logoThe award-winning, critically acclaimed Jeep Grand Cherokee is back in 2018 with more features than ever and performance specs that no other SUV can touch. This year, Jeep offers the Grand Cherokee in 11 trims, but the one that really stands out is the Summit. This fully loaded model is the most opulent of the bunch, trailing only the souped-up Trackhawk and SRT in price. But as soon as you sit in the cockpit, you’ll know where that extra money went. If you thought Jeep didn’t do luxury, the Summit is here to prove you wrong.

Three Engine Options

The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit comes with three available engine options, and each of them have something to bring to the table. A 3.6-liter V-6 comes standard on the Summit, delivering 295 horsepower, 25 mpg on the highway and 18 mpg in the city. A 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V-6 is another exciting option, offering 240 horsepower, but a substantial upgrade to 420 pound-feet of torque. The turbo-diesel gets 26 mpg on the highway and 19 mpg in the city.

If you’re searching for some extra power, go with the 5.7-liter V-8. This behemoth provides an impressive 360 horsepower and up to 390 pound-feet of torque. It drops fuel economy to 22 mpg highway and 14 mpg city, but you’ll notice the extra pep as soon as you put your pedal to the floor.

Upgraded Exterior

To achieve its aggressive, upscale look, the Grand Cherokee Summit offers an entirely redesigned front end. A revised, yet still familiar Jeep grille highlights the changes, but a new fascia and a lower profile complete the look. The Summit gets 20-inch wheels for some added bling, which go in the center of the vehicle’s all-season tires, which are perfect for both pavement or off-road.

A Sumptuous Interior

True luxury comes with the interior amenities, and the Summit takes note. The seats only come with leather upholstery, cradling your body as you drive, while heated and ventilated seats come standard to keep you comfortable no matter what the weather’s like outside. A CommandView dual-pane sunroof allows superb airflow and stargazing at your leisure. To top it off, the Uconnect infotainment system can transform the Summit into either an entertainment center or a mobile office.

The Extra Package

Although the Summit comes with plenty of extras, don’t let Jeep’s additional packages pass you by. One of the most interesting and intriguing is the Premium Metal Package. This package offers real metal accents throughout the cabin, giving the interior a chic, industrial look.

Another option that adds both comfort and appeal is the Signature Leather-Wrapped Package. With this addition, the Summit adds soft leather to the dashboard and the center console for beauty and comfort. In addition, the seats and door panels get covered with sumptuous quilted leather, accenting the Summit’s luxury exponentially.

With tons of excellent and convenient features inside and outside, the Grand Cherokee Summit is certainly one of the finest Grand Cherokee’s ever created. All you need to do is schedule a test drive to see it for yourself.
