The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica is a thoroughly modern minivan, perfect for the busy family on the go. Here’s a quick guide to the newest Chrysler Pacifica.
Trim Levels
The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica has six main trim levels. Ranging from the base model to the most expensive option, the levels are the L, LX, Touring Plus, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited. Each comes with their own range of features, with different exterior options included in each of the different trims.
The L is the base model and comes with 17-inch steel wheels and heated mirrors. The LX comes with upgraded alloy wheels plus automatic headlights. The Touring Plus and Touring L add foglights, chrome exterior accents, LED headlights, and optional 18-inch wheels. The Touring L Plus includes these features plus a sound-reducing windshield.
Finally, the Limited offers standard 18-inch wheels, xenon headlights, power-folding mirrors, two sunroofs, and hands-free liftgate and sliding doors.
Engine
All of the Pacifica models come equipped with the same 3.6-liter V-6 engine. It puts out 287 horsepower and 262 pounds-per-feet of torque which is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive for excellent acceleration and responsiveness.
Performance
The 2019 Pacifica is a large vehicle, but its powerful engine and smooth transmission make it easy to handle even in difficult traffic situations. The optional sound-proof windshield limits engine noise and keeps the interior whisper quiet, which is ideal for long road trips. The shock system allows the driver to feel the road without uncomfortable bumping or jarring.
The Pacifica can handle quick stops and starts with relative ease. Like all tall vehicles, turns should be taken carefully, but the Pacifica is a solid, steady minivan with limited body roll.
Interior
The interior of the Pacifica is spacious enough to accommodate big families. Its standard configuration seats seven, but Touring models can be upgraded to eight seats. A 7-inch touchscreen is standard on all models except for the Touring L Plus, which comes equipped with an 8.4-inch touchscreen. All levels come with smartphone integration and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities. This feature allows drivers to access their favorite music streaming apps like Spotify and Pandora from the infotainment screen, plus navigation apps like Waze, Apple Maps, and Google Maps.
Heated and ventilated leather seats are available, as well as an in-vehicle vacuum cleaner, tri-zone climate control, 20-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, rear entertainment system with 10-inch touchscreens, and integrated navigation. Keyless entry and ignition is also optional for many of the trim levels.
Safety Features
Loaded with active safety features, the 2019 Pacifica is the perfect car for cautious parents. The Advanced SafetyTec Package bundles active safety features like automatic wipers, front parking sensors, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, automated parking system, top-down parking camera, and blind-spot monitoring.
The new Chrysler Pacifica can also be upgraded to include adaptive cruise control, automatic engine start/stop, rear cross-traffic alert, backup cameras, and the aforementioned smartphone integration to help reduce driver distraction.
